My sister Sue,( blue dress) and I (hat) spent a short time at the Port of Sale before we headed back to Melbourne yesterday. Pics below:

More pics of Frog Gully cottage with lagoon below.

My sister Sue and I stayed at Frog Gully cottage near the Sale Golf Course this Sat and Sun. We were delighted by the gliding pelicans, crazy cockatoos, colourful crimson rosellas, new Holland honeyeaters, spinebills, thornbills, fairy wrens and blue wrens who looked at their images in a small mirror, ibis and ducks. The dawn chorus was almost deafening with a cacophony of calls. Near nightfall there was the quacking of ducks, the lowing of nearby cattle, the laugh of kookaburras and the screeching of sulphur crested cockatoos. It was fascinating watching unsettled weather roll in on Sunday morning with veils of darker clouds and several lightning streaks. Pics below of the cottage:

I made this treasure box to add to my sea creature theme for our seven grandchildren this Christmas.

I took three of my grandchildren to their local park in Mirboo North on Monday. Pics below they are sheltering from the rain.
