NEXT YEAR'S CALENDAR FOR OUR HOUSE

In 2010 we'll be using a calendar with a difference. My nephew James has designed one where each family member appears in an 'unusual guise'....one family member per month. Here my mother appears as Queen Ivy, in the style of Queen Elizabeth II.

ANOTHER PIC OF THE BEES

Bee innundation

A SWARM OF BEES DECIDED TO LIVE WITH US TODAY. THIS WAS TAKEN OUTSIDE OUR BEDROOM WINDOW NEAR WHERE OUR TWO DOGS CONGREGATE. I AM GLAD AN APIARIST IS COMING EARLY TOMORROW MORNING

MI POEMA: GOTAS

GOTAS
Gotas de lluvia
Punctuación en agua
Comas y preguntas
Resbalan debajo de mi ventana
***
Gotas de expectación
nublan mi visión
Gotas con gotas
hacen un mapa de lágrimas
***
Este mapa forma una pantalla
de separación
entre adentro y afuera
entre esperanza y desesperación
***
Estas lágrimas que imbuyen
un sentido de tristeza
y crean un mundo de intimidad y riesgo
insinuan un futuro rico
***
Estas gotas en mi ventana
Son semillas mojadas
De esperanza
***

???

There have been approximately460 VISITS to my blog over the past THREE MONTHS. (Okay....yes I probably do account for some of these 'hits' myself..). Anyway, feel free to add comments if you wish (and it is not too bothersome or technically complicated to do so). Con cariño....Sally XXX

THE NOBBIES, PHILLIP ISLAND

THE 'PIG FACE' FLOWERS AND VEGETATION LOOKED VERY PRETTY ON THE CLIFF FACE .

THE NOBBIES

COLD AND WET HERE THIS WEEKEND BUT BEAUTIFULLY GREEN OVERLOOKING THE NOBBIES AT PHILLIP ISLAND.

The Nobbies, PHILLIP ISLAND

This stormy weather was certainly vigourous as we walked the boardwalk at The Nobbies, Phillip Island, today.

San Remo, Victoria

Husband Michael was also at San Remo jetty with me and we had just seen two dolphins cavorting simultaneously under the bridge leading to Phillip Island.

San Remo, Victoria

A cool change swept over this weekend and here I am trying to keep my skirt from blowing away at San Remo jetty, Victoria.

EN ESTE SUBURBIO

En Este Suburbio
Hay mi vida anterior,
En este suburbio
Hay fantasmas de mi niñez
En este suburbio
Hay conversaciones, sueños, celebraciones
Y conflictos
Formando un viento de recuerdos
En el polvo de esta época
***
En este suburbio
En una stiuación corriente
Hay una nueva energia,
En este universo parelelo
Hay una nueva canción
En este suburbio
Hay una brisa fresca
***
En este suburbio
Hay unos nuevos labios
Unos nuevos ojos
Unas nuevas manos
***
En este suburbio
El bebé quiere sobrevivir
En este suburbio
La respiración del nené
Está mezclando con el polvo
De mi vida anterior
***
Tantos, tantos recuerdos
Tantas, tantas esperanzas
Tantos, tantos pensamientos
Todo Todo Todo
En el mismo suburbio
***
El suburbio de sueños
El suburbio de sueños

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS NEXT TO THE MEDELLIN RIVER

THIS GARDEN HAS BEEN COMPLETELY CREATED OUT OF LIGHTS. THEY WERE CONSTRUCTED BY THE MEDELLIN RIVER IN MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA LAST YEAR AND A SIMILAR FABULOUS DISPLAY IS BEING CONSTRUCTED AS I 'SPEAK'.....THE VARIETY AND ATMOSPHERE CREATED BY THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTING IS BEYOND COMPARISON.

SISTER IN THE KITCHEN

Sue is a fabulous cook! Here she is getting ready to serve some great food on Melbourne Cup Day.

MY SISTER'S BACK GARDEN IN SPRING

Yes it's that ruddy hat again! Buf I wanted to include this pic to show the flowery abundance of my sister's garden in spring.

SEDUCTIVO

SEDUCTIVO
Seductivo, seductivo
El movimiento de las olas,
Susurro, susurro
El sonido de las hojas
***
Caricia, caricia
El grito de las gaviotas,
Soporifico, soporifico
El lamento de las piedritas
***
Sopla, sopla
Una sugerencia en el aire,
Susurro, susurro
La brisa puede confortarme
***
Chorro, chorro
El agua golpea la tierra
Incandesencia, incandescencia
Estrellas illuminan mi carrera
***
Seductivo, seductivo
Susurro, susurro
Chorro, chorro
La naturaleza
Me da fortaleza
***
Con cada sonido
Y cada sentido
Poco a poco
Me rindo, me rindo
En mi sendero

THAT CRAZY DAY OF THE YEAR

WITH SUE - A VISION IN BLUE

MELBOURNE CUP HAT

I made this balloon covered hat to wear to my sister's for the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, November 3rd. Amazingly the balloons stayed inflated as you will see in the next pic taken in her very different garden. No prizes for the hat (ha ha) but at least I backed the right horse.....

NEAR LAKE TOTA, COLOMBIA

IT IS NOSTALGIA TIME ! I WAS IN THIS PART OF COLOMBIA JUST OVER A YEAR AGO AND MET THESE LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN WHO WERE INTERESTED TO HEAR A BIT ABOUT AUSTRALIA.

FLOTANDO

FLOTANDO
Sin sonidos, sin luz, sin dirección
Flotando, flotando en una sensualidad
Flotando, flotando entre las estrellas
***
Volando, volando sin ropas, sin tiempo
Volando con musica interna
Inspirada por las planetas
Flotando, flotando sin palabras, sin relojes
Moviendome, moviendome en universo de silencio
Tocando, tocando la profundidad inmensa
***
Seda, seda, en agua de seda
Moviendome sola con sensualidad
Volando hasta la eternidad
Tocando, tocando la profundidad
***
Flotando, flotando
Navegando, navegando en la oscuridad
Una sensación sin gravedad
Tocando, tocando la inmensidad
***
Arrastrando el pelo largo
Volando en el universo
Flotando en el utero
Tocando lo divino
***
Sin metas, sin reglas, sin relojes
Sin sonidos, sin pensamientos
Sin épocas
Deslizandome en el tanque de flotación
Una forma inspirada de meditación

HUSBAND: Michael

Here's a photo of my husband Michael atop a large granite boulder at Tecoma Birdlands Sanctuary at the start of The Dandenongs near Melbourne, Victoria. Trees recently burnt in this February's bushfires are in the background.
