A wintery day in Sale yesterday.

My friend and I sheltered under this tree during persistent rain in Sale yesterday. The Lake looked silvery and pretty. (Lake Guthrie).

Plenty of birds on the banks of Lake Guthrie

I took this pic from under a tree on the banks of Lake Guthrie, Sale, yesterday.

Billabong at Birdsland Reserve, Tecoma

This pic shows regrowth after the massive fires of early February, 2009.

The second lake at Birdsland Reserve

I walked around these pretty lakes today.

I visited this pretty area today.

Birdsland Reserve, Tecoma

I visited this pretty area today in Tecoma in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges.

Liquid Amber in the foothills

This pretty liquid amber was outside a house in the foothills of the Dandenongs - about a 25 minute drive from my house.

Up the hill from our house

This beautiful autumn tree is a short walk up the hill from our house. It and several others are outside a nursing home.

This beautiful autumn tree is just round the corner from our house.

Autumnal glory vine

This glory vine graces the corner of our front room.

Multicultural Women's Group

I joined this multicultural women's group in Melbourne to assist women with little English. It is a group which is in the early stages and in this photo we are in one of the member's houses. We have just enjoyed a typical Peruvian fish dish. These participants are from Chile, Peru, Australia, England, Fiji, Colombia and Sudan.

Another view of the lap pool in East Malvern

Here is another view of the beautiful garden built by my son in law and his father.

In East Malvern, Melbourne Last night

I was lucky to visit this beautiful house my son in law built with his father in collaboration with my daughter. Under the full moon, the lap pool looked both mystical and inviting.

"Speak of Angels" - my short childhood account

I am glad to say I wrote this small book in March 2011, "Speak of Angels" ,as an account of my childhood growing up next to the beach in Adelaide and in a leafy Melbourne suburb. This photo was taken of my Londoner grandma and me (aged 3) at Arthur's Seat in Victoria in 1955. My grandma, whom I called 'Grannie England" as a child, always looked elegant and had her own antique store in Streatham, London. Her married name was Edith Headland.
