Below: I took these pics a couple of days ago on a beautiful 78 ha property not far from Stawell. The owners are grevillea experts and have many unusual and some even as yet unnamed species. They have collected many from Western Australia. A number of small animals live on the property including the southern brown bandicoot and the button quail. We stayed in their mudbrick cottage - not surprisingly named "Grevillea Cottage." Their land was ravaged by fire in 2006 with a great number of plants lost. Some plants benefited from the fire but many perished. The owners have re-established a most inspiring garden adding to the broader landscape.
