We happened upon this massive tree root system of a huge fallen eucalypt at the Blue Lotus Water Gardens today, Here I am checking the size!

This lotus leaf was inside the Amazonica hothouse at the Blue Lotus Water Gardens. Apparently they can grow to 8 feet in diameter.

GRANDSON ASHTON CAME FORWARD WITH A BALLOON AND A SINGLE ROSE AT THE START OF MY SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE WHEELERS HILL HOTEL IN SUBURBAN MELBOURNE. AT THIS STAGE I WAS IN 'SHOCK' OR RATHER PLEASANTLY SURPRISED (VERY).

RISING TO THE OCCASION
I TRIED TO RISE TO THE OCCASION BY SINKING LOWER - PRETTY DIFFICULT FOR ME AT THIS STAGE OF GRANNYDOM.
COMPLETELY IN THE GROOVE BY THIS TIME
BACK AT OUR HOUSE AFTER LUNCH AT THE WHEELERS HILL PUB, I WAS ABLE TO SHOW THERE IS STILL LIFE IN THIS GRANNY (MUCH TO THE EMBARRASSMENT OF SOME!).
